ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist
Life can become overwhelming when we find ourselves stuck in painful emotional or relationship patterns despite our best efforts to change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, grief, or a major life transition, I strive to provide therapeutic support that allows you to better understand yourself, heal emotional wounds, and create lasting change. I believe that meaningful growth happens when we feel deeply understood and emotionally safe enough to explore what lies beneath our struggles.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree and am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I am an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, and my practice is grounded primarily in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach rooted in attachment science that helps individuals and couples create lasting emotional and relational change. I have completed advanced training in EFT for individuals, couples, and families, including an EFT Externship, Core Skills Training, and specialized workshops with leading EFT trainers. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other trauma-informed approaches when they support each client’s goals. Ongoing learning and professional development are an important part of my practice, allowing me to provide therapy that is both compassionate and grounded in evidence-based practice.
I have a particular passion for working with couples who feel caught in recurring cycles of conflict, distance, or disconnection. Together, we work to understand the emotional patterns beneath these struggles, strengthen your bond, rebuild trust, and create a relationship where both partners feel seen, valued, and emotionally connected.
I also enjoy supporting individuals whose relationships have been shaped by attachment wounds, trauma, or difficult life experiences. Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, I help clients understand the deeper emotional patterns that influence how they relate to themselves and others so that lasting change becomes possible.
Working with men is another area of focus in my practice. Many men want deeper relationships but find it difficult to express their emotions or ask for support. Whether you’re struggling with stress, shame, anger, relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I strive to create a space where you can explore your experiences openly, develop greater emotional awareness, and build stronger, more authentic relationships.
Seeking support can be an important step toward creating meaningful change. Whether you’re hoping to strengthen your relationships, heal from past experiences, or better understand yourself, I would be grateful to walk alongside you in that journey.
