Michael Gregory
Michael has 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist. He earned an Honours BSW degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MSW degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
His approach is integrative and is grounded in the practice of mindfulness. He draws on the core elements of Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, (MBCT), Energy Psychology and Psychosynthesis. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma.
Areas of expertise include individual therapy for trauma recovery, substance abuse, addictions, stress management, anxiety reduction, chronic pain management, depression, anger, men’s issues and grief. He also works with couples, providing relational trauma therapy to resolve issues.
Michael has been facilitating 8 week Mindfulness based Stress Reduction groups for the past 20 years and has adapted this program to address depression, pain management and relapse prevention as well. He also teaches Elixir Light Qi Gong.
