Nicole Rider

Areas of interest and experience include: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, abuse, trauma, stress, life transitions and parenting issues. Nicole is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In Australia, Nicole was a former teacher and school psychologist. In these roles, she worked with children and adolescents experiencing a range of behavior, mental health and learning issues. These clients came from many different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Nicole received an undergraduate degree in Psychology, History, English and Primary and High School Teaching from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. She worked for 10 years as a teacher in Sydney, London UK, and Toronto. She is a former member of the Ontario College of Teachers. Nicole completed a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Western Sydney. Nicole shares her time working at the STAR Family Health Team and RGA & The Space Within.
